Roles at ABC
Each role at Autism Behavior Consulting is significant in providing behavioral intervention to children with autism and their families in a variety of ways. ABC employees train and support one another while developing their own skills in behavioral health analysis. Read below for more information on the responsibilities of each role at ABC.
Clinical Director
- Use the principles of ABA and are data driven to develop, update, and analyze individualized programs.
- Responsible for intervention planning and implementation of clinical cases and developing behavioral strategies that also assist the parent or guardian in implementing a behavior plan.
- Conducts, writes and reports initial assessments for clients.
- Tracks and ensures compliance regarding legal, ethical, and safety issues. Maintains respect and confidentiality for all clients and acts in compliance with the BACB.
- Oversees clinical services being provided in-home and community settings; responsible for ensuring quality and integrity of services.
- Conducts training of behavioral therapists as needed.
Registered Behavior Technician
- Independently conducts behavior therapy sessions using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Addresses client’s program objectives by using and implementing procedures approved by the BCBA and/or BCaBA.
- Deliver therapy in the client's home environment.
- Collect and record data accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate clearly and effectively – both orally and written – with clients, families and colleagues.
- Adhere to policies established by ABC and in compliance with all requirements for ABA providers and the standards of the field.
- Abide by all state and federal rules and regulations guiding ABA services.
Every potential Behavioral Technician must have their RBT credentials or be willing to complete the 40-hour RBT training course at the time of hire in order to work with any ABC client. Employees must also be willing to travel to and from clients’ homes within 1 hour of your location.
